Building a Vision of Resilience and Community

Discover the story, mission, and people behind COFIA’s journey to end rural poverty

About Us

Our Story

COFIA was born from a simple yet powerful idea: that by reaching out to friends—and friends of friends—we could create a ripple of change strong enough to overcome poverty. Today, COFIA stands as a united force, guided by a shared vision of thriving, self-sustaining villages in rural Uganda. Together, our teams in the USA and Uganda are creating pathways out of poverty that continue to grow and uplift communities.
